The BDE Heavy Cannon is a compact, lightweight coilgun that shoots 130mm Low-Velocity EME (Electro-Magnetic Explosive) rounds that are capable of disabling internal components and causing explosive damage. The gun is energy efficient, and uses significantly less electricity than conventional coilguns and railguns, but in turn, the muzzle velocity of the rounds only reaches to about 670 m/s, with most destructive properties relying on the 130mm EME rounds. Despite the sluggish speed, the specialized 130mm rounds can deal massive damage to internal components, and can take down the USS BEAST in ~5 shots or less. The Southeast-Asian-United-Coalition’s Air force and Navy banded together to design a cannon capable of fighting back against more capable foes. With the economy at a near collapse, the SAUC wanted a weapon that was relatively cheap to produce and cost efficient. The project, nicknamed BDE by G13’s Founder, was lead by a group of Filipino engineers. The result was the BDE 130mm Heavy Cannon, using cheap materials such as aluminum and graphene (Thanks to more advanced nanotechnology, graphene was easier to produce). Each unit costs 1.12M pesos, or around $220,000.
