The L-2A is an amphibious, light sport aircraft manufactured by the Sportlight aircraft company. It is a single seat amphibian with it's fuselage primarily consisting of lightweight titanium tubing with a durable nylon cover. The craft features a transparent dome canopy that gives the pilot an unbelievable amount of visibility. The craft is powered by two small, but powerful two cylinder opposed piston engines, and can easily reach speeds in excess of 200 mph. Intended for those with ... an adventurous spirit, this aircraft can go just about anywhere, and with a relatively short run-up, can fly into and out of all but the shortest airfields and roughest terrain.
Tips:
When taking off from water, keep the stick pulled back some to prevent nosing over.
When taking off from land, rotate at around 100 mph.
When landing on water, pull throttle back to idle and glide in. Landing speed should be below 100 mph for best results.
HAPPY FLYING!
