At the start of the Afghanistan War it was found the US Army needed cheap dedicated Forward Air Control aircraft to help direct attack planes and fighters onto their target. The new craft was given a light attack capability of it's own and took off much like a powered glider (an air start is a good substitution), the landing is similar to a U-2s. AG1 drops the rocket pods, AG2 switches on the lights and AG3 deploys the landing chute.
