A26 ”Outline” Close air support
The A26 Outline is a fictional aircraft designed for attacking ground targets and to act as a close air support vehicle for allied forces.
It was started as a project in June 1943 and was introduced to the Randomian Air Force on December 1944.
The plane has 2 jet engines (Definitely not stolen blueprints from German engineers by a spy, thanks Kev) that can get it upwards of 600 KTS, but it’s not recommended since it’s not really built for it.
The Attacker features 6 hardpoints for mounting weapons, and this particular plane has two bombs and four rockets to eliminate the ground targets. It also features a double automatic cannon and 6 machine guns if you happen to find yourself in a dogfight.
The A26 also has space for a bomber and a navigator, wich controls the radar in the nose of the plane.
More lore
The A26 Outline was greatly used during the year of WW2 and saw a lot of combat use after. The plane was retired in 1968 but the airforce still uses them for testing today
