Simple CASA C-212-200MPA
CASA C-212-200 MPA
If you're looking for a reliable and handy plane to watch your seas from intruders as well as rescuing stranded people on the ocean, then you've come to the right place.
Today I built another variant from the aircraft on my previous post, the CASA C-212 Marine Patrol Aircraft (MPA). This aircraft does exist on real life, but I didn't make it exactly like the real life version. I built this aircraft for marine patrol purposes. Equipped with multiple reconnaissance cameras, this aircraft is ideal for patrolling quite a vast area of seas and oceans. This aircraft is also capable of rescuing survivors from a sinking ship or a plane that crashed on the ocean. Equipped with a lifeboat inside the cargo hold which can be air dropped, this aircraft is capable for search and rescue (SAR) missions in the seas. With STOL capabilities, this aircraft can also operate from unprepared airstrips, landing and takeoff from remote locations and didn’t need a big airport to operate from.
Probably not the best Aviocar on the website, but I tried my best and I tried to made it as simple as possible (SIMPLE Planes, you know). Also I tried to make this aircraft mobile-friendly.
Feel free to add your own desired attachments, such as anti-ship missiles, torpedoes, more cameras, and roundel/fin flash markings of your armed forces.
GUIDE
I made this aircraft with STOL mechanics allowing it to land and takeoff from short runways. You can land and takeoff from grass fields, unprepared airstrips, and beaches.
Trim usage is necessary to maintain stable flight during cruising.
CONTROLS
Activation Group 1 : Signal Lights
Activation Group 2 : Activate VTOL mechanism to move around the nose reconnaissance camera
Activation Group 3 : Landing Lights
Activation Group 4 : Open rear ramp door cover
Activation Group 5 : Deploy rear ramp door for loading cars/vehicles (use AG 6 and VTOL first before activating AG 5)
Activation Group 6 : Activate VTOL mechanism to lower the rear ramp door
Activation Group 7 : Eject / air drop the lifeboat (use AG 6 and VTOL first before activating AG 7 to air drop the lifeboat)
VTOL : Lower rear ramp for loading cargo / moving around the nose reconnaissance camera to give a different view perspective
Trim : Trim
GUIDE ON AIR DROPPING THE LIFEBOAT
- Open the rear cargo door by activating AG 4, AG 6, and VTOL.
- Open the ramp door to the maximum range using AG 6 and VTOL.
- Fly at an altitude of at least 900-1000 ft above the surface of water
- Activate AG 7 to air drop the lifeboat.
- The parachute will automatically deploy once the life boat has been ejected from the aircraft.
NOTE:
The lifeboat sometimes lands in the water upside down, so I recommend you to look carefully at the lifeboat during the descent. If necessary, you can deactivate AG 7 at certain points during the lifeboat’s descent to eject the parachute and make sure the lifeboat lands on the correct position. There’s a camera installed at the lifeboat to help you look and guide the lifeboat during the descent.
Hope you guys enjoy it!
