Quite a lot has happened recently, but I'm still here! This is the square flag of the tiny nation of Vatican City, or the Holy See. By tiny, I mean 0.44 mi.² tiny. Created in the Treaty of Lateran by Pope Pius XI and Italy, the flag was modeled off of the Papal States's white and yellow flag. The papal tiara and keys were added later.
