Point Defense Fighter
Another design by cutangus that I have brought to life. (Original artwork here: http://cutangus.deviantart.com/art/Luftwaffe-1949-point-defense-fighter-297469752 ) This is a VTOL plane from 1949, designed for easy storage and little to no hard surface for take off and landing. Flight instructions: VTOL slider all the way down and wait for the plane to touch the ground. Then press activation group 1 and allow the arm to swing out of the way. Finally, full throttle forward and enjoy. I experimented for a few days on the best way to make this fly and I'm still not happy with the pitch...(adding horizontals stabilizers to the front works best, but I tried to stick to the artwork as much as possible) but it takes off nicely...just can't really land it. Also, I made a version (which I will up load too) that starts out in a vertical position, but having the cockpit rotated makes it display speed and pitch incorrectly.
