Production with 3D began in July 1970, and the last 300 copies left SeAZ in the fall of 1997. A total of 223,051 copies of the motorcycle were produced.
Many unusual solutions were used in the design of the motorcycle car, mainly related to the adaptation of motorcycle units to use on a small, but still a car. The engine of the motorcycle-motorcycle type, single-cylinder, carburetor two-stroke, models "Izh-Planeta-2", later — "Izh-Planeta-3".

Interesting fact

Such cars were popularly called "invalids" and were distributed (sometimes with partial or full payment) through social security agencies among disabled people of various categories. Motor-wheelchairs were issued by sobes for 5 years. After two years and six months of operation, the disabled person received a free repair of the "invalid", then used this vehicle for another two and a half years. As a result, he was obliged to hand over the motorcycle to sobes and get a new one.
