The Vought F4U was designed as a carrier based fighter at the request of the US Navy in 1938. The most distinctive feature of the Corsair is the gull-winged or "bent-wing" airframe design which helped pull the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine. With its nickname "Whistling Death", it had a positive kill rate of 11:1, making it a highly respected and feared fighter. Sorry if it doesn't reach realistic speeds and sorry it has no landing gear but here is my Vought F4U Corsair! Enjoy!
