The Charybdis-Class destroyer is the newest warship class to enter service in the Continuum Navy and was constructed and commissioned during the onset of the First Tor War(3205). Designed for both close-to-mid range combat against smaller Tor frigates and destroyers and also for anti-surface bombardment, the Charybdis-Class filled in the role gap for fast-moving heavy hitters in the Continuum Navy. What makes this ship unique, however, is that it is specifically designed to be carried to battle on the vertical drop hangars of the Grecillia-Class supercarrier. Six of these destroyers can be carried at a time, and can also re-dock after each engagement.
