Noble Industries Model No. 1

2.5 years ago
The beginning of a long line of aircraft designed by Noble Industries, the No. 1 was designed in 1913. Overwhelmingly simple, it contained a rather small amount of fuel and only the most basic flight instruments. Built in a backyard by a few friends who became the founders of Noble Industries, it was really only a prototype and was lost after crash landing in a field. It gave the newly founded company valuable building experience, and their first production aircraft, The NI-2, used many of its succesful design features to become a successful fighter in WW1.
