The M1A1 AIM SA Abrams is the current main battle tank of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps, first purchased and put into Australian service in 2006/2007 as a replacement to the aged Leopard AS1 and has since then served the RAAC well, to the point where the purchase of several M1A2 SEP V3s is being considered (or is gonna happen idk).
