The Rufer is a twin jet engine flying car that has two modes. GROUND mode and FLIGHT mode. GROUND configuration is the default on start up. Select Group 1 for land controls to activate the car engine (thrust) and front wheel steering (roll). The white beacon above the cockpit tells you Ground mode is activated. FLIGHT mode is selected in Group 2. Use VTOL Up (Z key) to lower the wings and rotate the rear spoiler into a "V" tail (No group for this feature). Selecting Group 2 activates the jet engines. The Rufer now functions as a jet aircraft. (The white tail light and red and green wing lights tell you Group 2 is active.) DESIGNER'S NOTES: This craft has no yaw capability. feel free to engage the car engine on take off to activate the steering but be advised this adds greatly to the land speed on take off and the plane has been known to suddenly leap into the air. Also, do not go under halfway on the VTOL slide. The two modes are halfway for GROUND and fully up for FLIGHT.
