Ott A-22 Rusher{4th Gen}
In the early 1970s Ott Aircraft Company was on thin ice when it came to strike aircraft due to the failure of the A-11 Snub Nose. The Air Force sought out a replacement due to the many issues of it with Ott being one of the compeditors as the Air Force decided to give them a chance to redeem their name, and redeem they did. Ott did careful research and ended up coming out with the A-22 Rusher. An aircraft so advanced in maneuverability, speed, ordinance that the U.S. made it so it wasn’t allowed to be exported. When it entered service in 1977 enough we’re produced to phase out the entire fleet of A-11s. In 1985 it was tested beyond its limits by proving it could fly without a vertical stabilizer after it was shot off by a MiG-29. Remains in active service.
