This is as close as I've come to a working in Pitch/Roll mechanism for the main rotor on a helicopter. It is fairly smooth, and looks like it should work well on the ground but I can't seem to make it work in flight no matter what I do. Please take it and try to make it work in your designs.
It is very bare-bones and will need other parts like a tail rotor and such to make it work properly this is just the most basic form that I have it in at the moment.

761 EnoOnraefi@Verdnan yea. I had a design similar to yours, but the wheels really do kill the precision. I hadn't thought about it until now but I wonder if there is a way to modify the friction calculation on the wheels...9.4 years ago

5,521 VerdnanVery interesting solution! I have been work on the problem of helicopter control too, but my most realistic designs have been broken in the beta update. Here is one of them if you are interested. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/648a8B/Coaxial-Rotor-Swash-plate-Concept9.4 years ago
