Re-design of the JLX Bandit Air to Air fighter. The newest version of the aircraft boasts increased landing and take-off abilities. Yaw control is achieved through rear bottom mounted stabilizers and useful ONLY upon landing / taking off as a steering mechanization. The wheels are also now rotatable making steering of the plane possible. The hook and parachute attachment have allowed succesful landings aboard the USS Beast on several tests. In addition, the two new stabilizers also aid the plane in air to air combat through increased stability. The thrust ability of the Bandit is such that stable, level flight is easily achieved at 62% thrust, and lowering thrust shortly after takeoff is recoomended to aid in lowering fuel consumption. At higher altitudes the jet will achieve super-sonic speeds making island to island travel quick and possible despite high fuel consumption. The JLX Bandit (Air Superiority Fighter)
