In Commission: 1950-~1980's
Originally concieved in the 1940s as a follow up to the S-Class, like many early diesel submarines in the early cold war its design was influenced by type XXI U-Boat captured from germany after WW2. In the years immediately after the war, Project 613 would be developed and go on to help build up a submarine fleet even larger than the U-boat fleet of WW2. The numbers built range in some sources from 236 to 215 examples made. Compared to the U-boat Fleet, the Whiskey's like other submarines in the new Soviet submarine force would see little action outside a few incidents.
The first generation of Whiskey class submarines had a design much like earlier submarines, with rearward facing torpedo tubes and deck guns. The Whiskey IV would introduce the snorkel for submerged diesel running, while the Whiskey V would omit the deck gun. Further variants would introduce built in Cruise Missile launchers.
The Whiskey class would be sold to several soviet aligned countries such as China, Bulgaria, Egypt, Indonesia, and North Korea. The Romeo and Juliett class submarines would go on to replace the patrol and missile variants respectively.

Here it is! The Whiskey Class, complete with its signature sonar 'chin' or as I like to call it 'Stonk Chin Sonar' because I'm a goofball like that. I put a good amount of effort into detailing the conning tower, and I think the result looks good. Hope you enjoy!

@nameisalreadytaken Interesting!
@Junie01 Hope they preserve it better than the Dutch did their Zulu!
@MintLynx found the link. But sadly it’s already been sold

@Junie01 That is crazy, but a Zulu class was once sold to the netherlands (where it now sits and rots sadly), plus a lotta these were made. I just wonder who might buy it!
Call me crazy but once I found one of these for sale
@MarinoYeet Will do! That'll be fun to make, not only will I finally make the Mark 48 torpedo, but I'll add some harpoons since the Flight 3 has a VLS!
@MintLynx thx! Tag me when it's done
@Nuclearbomber36 Thank you!
Great job!
@MarinoYeet A flight-3 Los Angeles class, yea I could do that!
@8bitgamer33
1) Its an old 250 foot long submarine, not a speedboat!
2)Make sure you're set to Air to Ground Mode. The Torpedoes are modified rockets
It turns slower than anything in the known universe, and when I tried to launch the torpedoes, nothing showed up as available even when I turned AG1 on.
@MintLynx can you make a USS annapolis just for the movie "Hunter Killer"
@MarinoYeet Anywhere! Including here.
Where can I ask a request?
I BLOODY KNEW IT XD
