The ACI X-1 was a X-plane, made to go Supersonic, it's first flight was in 1946 where it hit a top speed of 845 Mph, it was nicknamed by it's pilot "sonic smasher" later, they made the production interceptor, the ACI-A-1 where it got a few kills and was quickly phased out
