RJ Whispering Death Mk1F 6.6
Introduction
I always liked the Bristol Beaufighter, so i thought why not make my own design loosely based on the Beaufighter as a sort of RJ competitor to the Bristol design.
I decided to use two Napier Sabre engines (from Tempest fame) to power the beast, these engines (temperemental as they were) had some of the highest HP outputs of any WW2 engine and in this case have the benefit of having the exhausts at mid point (H block arrangement has this benefit).
I decided instead of the 4 20mm cannons of the Beaufighter (and 6 .303 machine guns) to arm mine with 4 50mm cannons in an arrangement where the fuselage raises up to give them a clear line of fire but still locates them close to CofG (see the German Uhu for another example). Poor Tiny.
Landing gear doors are sequenced, all 3 wheels retract, exhausts only fire up when that engine is activated, landing lights only operate when gear down is selected, fun to fly, all in all a fun build.
Controls
AG1-2 = turn engine on
Lg = retract / lower gear
VTOL dn = flaps
Trim = trim elevator
Guns are activated on either air or ground

Very cool
Another chubby little RJ marvel. Very fun build. Good work mate.
