Like the Wingblade, the Swallow Tail went through a redevelopment period as technology improved and the needs of the military changed. In this case the Swallow Tail was given more powerful engines and an lighten air-frame. While this didn't increase the plane's speed by much it did assist the Swallow Tail in taking off an landing at the hastily crafted runways during the US island hopping campaign in the Pacific. For those that don't know thi is design came from an idea for a comic I had. The design is meant to be an evolution of the PX-2A Swallow Tail.
