TuBe-124 Jet flying boat, Soviet Navy "Blue 14" (Guided torpedos armed!)
Fictional hybreed between Tupolev Tu-124 / Tu-134 (wings and tail from tu-134, engines from tu-124, cockpit and landing gear from both) airliners and Beriev Be-10 early military jet reconaissance flying boat (general layout). Here is in naval patrol version.
Includes functional mouse-aim turret and radio guided realistic torpedoes (they go underwater)
Has quite realistic functional landing gear, spoilers and wing shape. Double slotted flaps are my best creation. Can use thrusters for maneuvers on water and ground (AG 7)
To use turrets lock main controls (Deactivate AG8), then activate turrets with AG6 and activate mouse control (mouse right click). In default positions guns can be used to shoot forward aiming with a plane.
to use torpedo:
1) switch to a camera on the torpedo, deactivate AG8 to cut off plane YAW controll
2) Detach a torpedo (ag 4 and 5)
3) move throttle to at least 1% to engage torpedo engines (it will go top spead at any throttle setting apart from 0)
4) control the torpedo with YAW (you can change the steering input at the rear vertical fin). You can deactivate corresponding AG to steer torpedoes individually
Controlls:
G - Landing gear;
Stabilizer (pitch adjustment) is adjustable with trim slider. normally about 1/4 up in level flight, but depends on speed, altitude and thrust.
AG1 - Landing parachute
AG2 + VTOL slider - Flaps; (0% = Flaps retracted, 100% DOWN = Flaps deployed)
On water: takeoff flaps 1/4, landing flaps 1/2
AG3 + VTOL slider - Spoilers (= Airbrakes, 100% UP = Deployed, 0% = Retracted, i added a compensating mechanism to the stabiliser, but still tends to pitch up the plane a bit, use on approach with partial deployment (pitch compensator works between 0 and 1/2 UP, above that it pitches down to push plane to the runway) or after touch down with full deployment)
AG4 -left torpedo release and steering (throttle should be at any level above 0) - CAMERA 3
AG5 - right torpedo release and steering (throttle should be at any level above 0) - CAMERA 4
AG6 - Turrets. Deactivate ag8 to lock plane controls, activate mouse control to aim, switch camera to a turret camera.
AG6 - Landing lights;
AG7 - Water jets system for water maneuvers, S for brake/reverse, W for forward, QE for steering, works on the ground too)
AG8 - deactivate to lock out controls (for use with turret or torpedo guidance)
Take off procedure - Trim 60% up, flaps 1/2 down, full thrust , take off speed ~ 170 mph, in right configuration the plane will take off by itself.
Landing procedure - Full flaps, trim ~ 60% up, 60% thrust with full flaps, minimum safe speed 150-160 mph, use spoilers to control speed as plane reacts faster than to thrust. over the runway drop thrust to 40-45%, deploy spoilers 100% (AG3 + VTOL UP), parachute after touchdown if needed. Landing on water use 70% flaps

@vonhubert
Oh...
Ok then
@Obtheplanedestroyer it's very physics heavy with flexible wings, mowing flaps and spoilers.
How does my phone handle a 1300 part build like a knife through butter but this like crap
@Carsong1017 yep) sounds funny)
The tube!!!
@Franticmatty
May be this one wont be so bad in MP) but only on your own risk))

Thanks.
Great job dude! Love the work. Keep it up!
Wow, continuing to push the envelope!
@FearlessFabEngineering Thanks! Its very pleasant to hear. That took me several months to figure out how to make landing gear here (actually i first made it on my Tu-104) and on my Myasichev M-4. Check them out
Wow.
The landing gear...
I am enlightened.
@vonhubert Might XD
@Franticmatty well, its not going to disappear before the next video)
@vonhubert I mean, I literally just made a video XD Just before I seen this :(
@Franticmatty just on the ones i find most interesting) this one is fun but not difficult to play)
oh man, YOU TAG ME NOW!? :P
@vonhubert no problem! And thanks for explaining the gear doors!
GReat Plane
@MrSilverWolf Thanks. About the doors - feel free to use. I can try to explain it if you want. Though it may be difficult...
Front small dooers open on the same speed as gear rotates and they dont collide as they are short. Rear parts open first and then close even with gear down. They have a mechanism with 3 different speed rotators (90 deg fast one direction, 90deg 20% slow same direction and 180deg 20% opposite direction, easier to disassemble than explain))) . But the second time you deploy landing gear it rotates backwards. So i made two sets of them in one place - they move in different directions and you either see one or another each time. And they are "no collision"
Awesome! And I'm wondering how you did those gear doors on the main gear, they look awesome!
@mikoyanster Thanks. Try the torpedoes, thats the main feature)
Very nice!
