"What have we done to offend the gods to deserve such a fate?"
Strategos Andrew, Olympian Army High Command, upon receiving news of the crossing of the River Jordan

To activate the Mk 8 guns, press (1). To activate the Mk 2 machine guns, press (2). To operate air brakes, VTOL up. An improvement of the Pummeler Attack. With the introduction of the Mk 3, pilots complained about the lack of anti-personnel abilities of the Mk 8 cannon, rooted in its slow rate of fire. While some Mk 3 were fitted with gun pods, they complained they were too inaccurate to be ineffective. The faster-firing Mk 9 was found to be unreliable in a Pummeler's wing, and so it was decided to equip some aircraft with a combination of Mk 2 machine guns and Mk 8 cannons. Units were rearmed with the Mk 4 Pummeler, and Pummeler pilots now had both powerful anti-personnel and anti-armor weapons. The success of this program led to all of the Mk 3 aircraft converted to this standard, though shortages in the Mk 8 cannon ensured that the Mk 2 Pummeler Attack would remain in service.

It was notable for its role in the Crossing of the River Jordan, where the Pilotmario Air Force attack aircraft of all types engaged the combined IJ United and Olympian forces entrenched at the River Jordan. Most of the IJ United mercenaries fled, causing panic among civilians. Spartans had trouble controlling the panic, and were forced to retreat when the Pilotmario Army 11th and 12th Mechanized crossed the river across an intact bridge.
