A little cursed plane before I go!
I'm not leaving SimplePlanes permanently, but I'm leaving tomorrow for Japan on a 7-day trip. So before I go, I had to post something i guess.
Oh yeah, I'm going to announce some changes to how I write my posts.
From now on I'll try my best to make future posts (including this one)
- shorter, and
- simpler, more casual and with less technical jargon, so that those who aren't as good at English can read this without any problems.
My posts on air crashes will still be long though.
*Oh yeah, and quick question, do you guys actually read to the end of my posts? I'm just wondering. If you do, reply in the comments down below. *
With that, on with the shorter description!
something's a little off...
The Boeing 737-3000, world's best private jet.
April 1984 a.k.a. the pre-ETOPS era
Ever wanted to get somewhere far, on your own? If you do, chances are you need a quadjet, because of those pesky FAA regulations. But not everyone wants a 747, simply because it's quite too big and expensive. Even a 747SP will leave lots of empty space.
Most people who want smaller planes take the 707 or 727, but those are pretty old right now. So we looked at the 737-300, same size as these other planes, but with much better CFM-56 engines.
Put 2+2 together, and you get the 737 Quadjet!
Features (what makes it better than someone's Pilatus)
- 4 engines (duh!)
- 2 sets of wheels for the main landing gear, instead of 1. Those extra engines are heavy you know.
- No extra fuel (i forgor)
- Strange winglets (idk man, we just put it there)
- 30 countermeasure flares (for use against missiles)
- A few minor inconveniences...
"uh sir, i just spawned the plane on approach..."
Customers
We did manage to sell about 250 planes to millionaires, multimillionaires and billionaires.
The leader of the RCP became interested in the plane even before launch as the extra range could help him get to pretty much everywhere for meetings without him needing a 747. The plane can also take off from short runways, letting him access all parts of the RCP.
As RCP Engineering, a well-known aerospace manufacturer in these parts, helped us with the making of the quadjet, we gave them 4 aircraft to use as official presidential planes, with added security features such as countermeasure flares, which are good against missile threats.
yes, only 3 thrust reversers work for some reason (the perfectionists be like)
Performance
Well... to sum it up, it's really overpowered. It can:
-take off from really short runways
Yes, it takes off from Saint Barthelemy, using half the runway, with NO FLAPS.
-lands on said really short runways
What, you thought it couldn't land there too?
-does insane acrobatic moves
t-pose!
-flies inverted (look above)
Now, how do we fly this plane?
