Yes another American thing, literally all the suggestions are American just bare with me
Original build here
Swarm version (multiple spawnable at once) here
- This build is a suggestion by the original creator TheUltimatePlaneLover, make sure to go to the original build if you actually want to play with the bomber
- The Defensive bombers series’ aim is to make killing AI bomber targets 10x more difficult, because fun is not allowed
- (wiki)
The North American B-25 Mitchell is an American medium bomber that was introduced in 1941 and named in honor of Brigadier General William "Billy" Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation. Used by many Allied air forces, the B-25 served in every theater of World War II, and after the war ended, many remained in service, operating across four decades. Produced in numerous variants, nearly 10,000 B-25s were built, It was the most-produced American medium bomber and the third most-produced American bomber overall.

@TemporaryReplacement no problem
@Alternation that’s actually pretty interesting, thanks.
just what it does is, reduce the sound cannons make when they shoot, because these cannons dont have those Doppler effect thingy, so it sound the same from far away
@Alternation i just found it out lol
@TemporaryReplacement I know how to reduce the cannons shooting, just set launchVolume to 0, or maybe 0.1
@TemporaryReplacement Good news, it'll be soon because the SEPECAT Jaguar is finished
Three PEAs and Two Platinum Specials left
@TheUltimatePlaneLover YIPPEE!
@TemporaryReplacement
I'm going to do it, PEA-B-1 with CIWS
(whenever I'm done with the SEPECAT, Privateer, F-16, F-100, and Platinum specials lol)
@TheUltimatePlaneLover (I was just goofin around with crazy ideas, no need to actually build it if you don’t want to lol)
@TemporaryReplacement Yes, B-1 with CIWS confirmed.
@TheUltimatePlaneLover ah, that makes sense
(So…. B-1 WITH CIWS’ CONFIRMED!)
@TemporaryReplacement Well, that would be nice, but I mean the platform itself be supersonic, like a B-1 with B-29 turrets
@TheUltimatePlaneLover as in like… a railgun or something..?
@TemporaryReplacement True... what about a supersonic gunner platform though?
@TheUltimatePlaneLover the only “modernish” bombers that had defensive guns at some point I can think of on the top of my head are the B-52 and TU-95. I guess they kinda become useless though in the age of missiles and all…
(CIWS on B-21 confirmed?!?!?)
@TemporaryReplacement You know I wonder why no modern bombers have these defensive guns, maybe I'll make one just for this lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover very epoc
Yoooo
Epic
@Alternation I agree, unfortunately cannons are literally the only weapon that works for these
I like the idea of defensive AI aircraft, but i guess those sound cannons make are a bit annoying though
