The GE90 engine is a high bypass ratio commercial ultra high thrust turbofan engine developed by GEAE, a subsidiary of General Electric. The engine model GE90-115B is recorded by Guinness World Records as the world's highest thrust aircraft engine, with a maximum thrust of 56.9 tons achieved in ground bench tests. The GE90 was officially launched into the commercial market in November 1995 for use on the Boeing 777 series aircraft.
