This aircraft was designed as long-range transport/communication aircraft, it was going to connect Europe and Japan but due to problems with the aircraft and the amount of enemy territory it would have to cross was to dangerous, one of the Ki-77's was taken back to the US on the USS Bouge for analysis it was then scrapped
