RJ Rampant ww2 fighter 2.0

239k RamboJutter  3.5 years ago
Auto Credit Based on Astro12's Prop Fighter Challenge. [closed]

Introduction

Developed during the later years of WWII the Rampant was an unusual canard piston powered pusher fighter. Using a RR Griffon in a center mass location and a counter rotating propellor pusher arrangement, this had both benefits for weight distribution and pilot visibility. The tricycle undercarriage also enabled easier taxiing on the ground and without the high angle of attack the pilot could actually see where he was going (unusual for the era)

Controls

VTOL dn for flaps
Everything else is standard

Weaponry

Armed in this instance with 4no. 20mm Aden cannon in the wings, the airframe could take a variety of underwing and nose mounted weaponry but this would have taken me well over the 450part limit =)

Only 450 parts? That’s new! Wonderful aircraft, there aren’t enough push-props on the website IMO.
