Chaos theory demonstration (butterfly effect)
Chaos theory is the branch of mathematics that deals with complex systems whose behavior is highly sensitive to slight changes in conditions, so that small alterations can give rise to strikingly great consequences. There are many other ways to demonstrate this theory and this is one of them. Here are two pendulums side by side. When you wind them up (VTOL) and let them go (activator 1) they seem to have the same outcome. But thy won't. They will spin and flip in different and random directions. Chaos theory or the butterfly effect may seem annoying because if we would be able to calculate and predict things without any problems or different outcomes then what we expected. But think about this. We wouldn't be alive without the chaos eccect. Imagine there are one thousand marbles in a huge, flat area, and all those marbles are the building blocks in our universe. All the marbles are attracted to eachother. All the marbles are arranged in a neat, perfect pattern and all the marbles sit, still and not moving. But there is a problem. Our universe is not perfect. Let's take out say only five marbles. Now all the other marbles start moving around, spreading and contracting in random directions. If all the marbles stayed perfect, I wouldn't be making you seriously board right now. If you read all this, thank you. I hope you learned from this. And yes I do my reasearch as you can see. I hope your face now looks a bit like this . . thank you. Now you may try out this theory. * -

38.8k hypnotoadI truly appreciate the effort you went to on the description, it made for an engaging read. I like to think of myself as well versed in many subjects, but physics and its randomness are always a huge allure. If of interest, try out some YouTube channels I regularly watch - veritasium, smartereveryday, minutephysics, vsause. there is a lot in there that should be quite enlightening9.5 years ago
