!!!WARNING!!!

This plane is for EXPERIENCED PILOTS, and requires a steady hand, fluid and intuitive throttle and prop-pitch control, and lots of patience. She flies beautifully if you have the patience to figure her out, but if you're a novice pilot, be warned that this plane is not forgiving in the slightest!

That being said, here's the fluff from Wikipedia:

"The Northrop N-9M was an approximate one-third scale, 60-ft wide, all-wing aircraft used for the development of the 172-ft wide Northrop XB-35 and YB-35 flying wing long-range, heavy bomber program. First flown in 1942, the N-9M (M for Model) was the third in a lineage of all-wing Northrop aircraft designs that began in 1929 when Jack Northrop succeeded in early experiments with his single pusher propeller, twin-tailed, twin-boom, all stressed metal skin Northrop Flying Wing X-216H monoplane,[1] and a decade later, the dual-prop N-1M of 1939–1941.[2] Northrop's pioneering all-wing aircraft would lead Northrop-Grumman many years later to eventually develop the advanced B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, which debuted in Air Force inventory in 1989."

Happy Flying, and please be patient with this bird, and you will be rewarded with a one-of-a-kind flight experience! :D

(Notes: This plane isn't 100% accurate. There were some creative design elements that made the real-life aircraft work without rudders or vertical stabs. Since I can't very well replicate those features, this model has to have a pair of small vertical stabs to keep it straight. Even with those, it has a tendency to slidet around a little. Just be patient when banking, and don't overcompensate your rolls. Also I gave it guns because I thought it would make a cool looking (if impractical) fighter plane.

@XVIindustries hmm. I might. But I've never really done that kind of detail before.

I am making the EE one, would you like to B-57ise it after I'm done? Cause I am mainly focusing on Brit bombers at the moment, it will be out after that Lancaster and the Shackleton probably, they are about 30% complete each, the bombers in detail take FOREVER to make! The idea is, if u make say a Sikorsky helicopter and that has a British licensed built version, I would be happy to make it into that, it would be more cool to see not just the original airforces ones, but all the ones who used the plane or licensed built it, so u get lightning strike from Saudi Arabia and Canberras from Switzerland, all made by the community just basicly decorating the plane in their AF's colours, what do us think?

They have this plane at planes of fame air museum in chino, California. I have seen it fly, it's awesome. There was an engine failure of some sort (not in the air) and there are three engines. Two on the plane, one extra. @A5mod3us

Abit hard to figure out and it seems under-powered but it was fun to fly.

@Mrwhiskters85 Yeah, the whole program was a challenge in design and stability. The original prototype was still flying in 2010 thanks to an effort to restore and preserve it. Not sure if it still is. Last I heard the plane had suffered an engine fire or something and they were unsure they were going to be able to replace the parts for the engine, since both engines were built specifically for that plane.

@LJSpike Thanks for the honest rating. Flying wings are pretty notorious for being difficult to fly. The B-2 only flies well due to clever design and sophisticated computerized flight control systems.

well, the real one was hard to land. it says in Bob Hoover's autobiography that he was a bit angry that chuck yeager could land the N9M without porpoising

It is quite unforgiving in piloting so I have to only give it a four for that. I'd love to see you make all of the (declassified) X-Planes.

Not really hard to fly compared to some of my designs
