3.2 years ago
After 10 years of service of the PR.100 series A and B, the navy was in need of an upgrade, taking the the old A-6 design, and replacing the nose with an Aero TM-6500 Turbo Prop engine and two AWD C-20 20mm autocannons. it's other notable difference is the low landing gear setup and armament. the low gear is to allow the pilot to easily access the cockpit and ground crews to access the engine/cameras without special equipment. despite the increase in engine power, the C-2 is only capable of 454 kmh at sea level, as it was optimized for low level reconnaissance.
