@Thej611 Hey! Your back!!! Thanks for upvoting!
Damn son. You hit a home run on this one!! I'm glad to have provided the original aircraft!!!
Paternians have traditionally hunted them in a fashion not unlike whales, save for the bait. Dead whales on the surface are stalked until a megaladon appears. Harpoons fired by heavy crossbows or small cannon mounted on the boats are then fired into the shark. The shark often dives in an attempt to flee, and sometimes may dive deeper than the lines will allow. If this is the case, the line is cut with a sharp axe. When the line is no longer under tension, it is pulled to the surface and towed to shore. These boats usually operate within sight of land. @Areonautics3
I suppose. Against tanks, the M23 Stinger performed better than the Scorpion light tank. This was attributed to the deployment; the Stinger is most likely to encounter enemy tanks when ambushing them, while the Scorpion is more likely to stumble upon them. @PINK
We have several ideas on the board for jungle and swamp warfare.....mainly defensive. However, we have found case tank destroyers to be perfect for the northern part of Sunland. Roads and passes are very narrow.....so we have often used case tank destroyers with very heavy frontal and modest rear armor.....very light side armor...... to ruin tank's days. @Pilotmario
Yes.@Pilotmario
These "Megaladons" are large mutant sharks. @Areonautics3
They recognize this. However, a LeichtSturmgeshutz weighs the same, has the same mobility, but because it doesn't have the weight of a turret and its mechanism, can have acceptable frontal armor, a lower profile, and a bigger gun. Although said gun has limited traverse compared to the 360 degrees offered by a turret, such is not an issue when firing from a concealed position against units on a road, or shooting at a bunker, where you are likely to be driving forward anyways.
Anyways, we found that although the Scorpion has considerably better floatation than the Victoria M5A3, it is marginally better than the Avenger M3A2 or Ardent M6A1, and the Avenger and Ardent has a much more powerful gun and has much better armor than a Scorpion. Floatation indicates its ground pressure in soft ground.
The Avenger is also fully amphibious, which the Scorpion is not. @PINK
@Areonautics3 weird
Megalodons are ancient creatures, they decided to come back to life again. @Pilotmario
lol Megaladons are afraid of us.
For one, all our ships are resistant to giant squid attack, a far more dangerous creature statistically. This is due to civilian safety standards. Shark teeth often shatter against the 5mm mild steel or 8mm nautical aluminum that makes up the hulls of civilian vessels. Military ships use 8mm mild steel plates. @Areonautics3
The Teutons have not employed light tanks for decades. Compared to a proper tank, they are under-armed and under-armored. Compared to an armored car, they are slower in roads and more expensive. Cross-country performance is marginally superior with a light tank, and both types are limited to roads in an alpine environment.
The only real advantage a light tank has over a proper medium tank or an armored car is its performance over soft and boggy ground, where the higher ground pressure of an armored car or medium tank would be a hindrance. And even so, a Leicht Sturmgeshutz (light assault gun) is a better option in their opinion. A LeichtStuG has the same mobility over soft and boggy terrain as a light tank, has better armor, a lower profile, and a bigger gun. The Pilotmario Army has reach a similar conclusion with our M4 Scorpion Light Tank. The vehicle, while it was somewhat successful, was employed much like an assault gun. A tank destroyer variant of the machine with a 90mm railgun proved far more successful. The Scorpion is only employed as a training vehicle, although an up gunned machine with a 90mm railgun is going to enter service soon. @PINK
