Gandalf's Defense Technologies Barn Owl is two-seat slow flying stratospheric reconnaissance / spyplane designed as jet-powered sailplane.
Design is slightly inspired by real airplane Myasishchev M-17 Stratosphera.
Remember! Almost all of the aircraft I build are set to fly at 20% engine thrust for optimum fuel consumption and maximum flight range. But for this motorized glider is optimal thrust for straight horizontal flight only 11% due to overpowered engine for ever smaller fuel consumption.
