Douglas A-4 Skyhawk
"There is a lot that can be said about the Scooter. It's a small, tough, plane that can carry its weight in ordnance. If you're have to tangle with fighters, the Scooter will certainly put out. It's so maneuverable that it can challenge the Northrop in a dogfight and hope to win." -Lt. Mike Sierra, Paternian Marine Corps, VMA-214 "Black Sheep"
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is an American-made attack airplane developed for the US Navy by Ed Heinemann at Douglas Aircraft Company. It was a popular aircraft due to its durability, large bomb load, small size, low-cost, and high maneuverability. In fact, it's high maneuverability allowed it to be used as a fighter aircraft in many air forces. It would see extensive service worldwide, especially in Vietnam, the Yom Kippur War, and the Falklands War, where it often hit well above its weight.
Due to its small size, it was known by a variety of names, such as "Scooter", "Kiddiecar", "Bantam Bomber", "Tinker Toy Bomber", and on account of its performance, "Heinemann's Hot Rod."
In Paternian service, the type provided excellent performance in the Nepal Campaign, where the light, maneuverable type proved its worth at the high altitudes of the Himalayas. It would perform well in Operation Timber, the Paternian contribution to the invasion of Sentian Australia, where the type proved reliable in Antarctic conditions.

@Supercraft888 1960, as of now.
@Pilotmario
I have a question, what time is your fictional universe set in? Cause I'm seeing planes from the Cold War, to futuristic stuff, so I'm confused
@t8erh8er And now I've gotten around to it.
