December 26 saw the first apperance of the pre-production MiG-31 ("Foxhound"). The fastest interceptor plane in the world, it can fly at 1,865 mph. More than 400 of this plane was built. It bares a strong resembelence to the MiG-29 or American fighters such as the F-15 Eagle. Enjoy!
