Nation of Origin: Telosia

Role: Multirole Jet Fighter

Crew: 2

Engines: 2

The Marshall-Lewis P-99 Spitfire 2 is a sturdy, dependable workhorse of the RAC. Designed in the mid 1980s, it is a multirole 4th generation jet fighter named after the legendary RAF fighter of WWII. Equipped with the latest avionics of the time, as well as a powerful array of weapons, the P-99 has proven itself time and time again in combat both in air superiority roles and as a ground strike aircraft.

The P-99 Spitfire 2 has a two man crew consisting of a pilot and weapon systems officer. The armament includes a pair of 20mm rotary cannons, has 6 external hard points for weapons or drop tanks, and space for 8 missiles or bombs in internal weapons bays. This high ordnance capacity allows the P-99 to undertake a variety of roles from air superiority to ground attack and tactical bombing. A navalized version (Will be added later) is also in service with the Fleet Air Arm.

Controls:

Typical flight controls.
*AG1: Opens internal weapons bays and arms internal weaponry
*AG2: Afterburners

My first real go at making a jet fighter. Like the Phoenix, this is a recreation, with some tweaks of course, of a previous design I have made elsewhere. Hope you enjoy!

Notice: Upon further testing of the aircraft a problem has been found with the Aft Internal Weapons Bay. This bay holds two of the 4 Guardian missiles. It has been discovered that said missiles might impact the fuselage when launched from here. To remove or edit this weapons bay, move the rear two "D" shaped panels on the underside of the aircraft. A fixed version will be uploaded soon.

It's a good plane. The only room for improvement I can see is maybe reduce the overall weight and Disabling aircraft collision on weapons. There are two mods that can help with that, Overload and Fine Tuner. You can also find more mods on the Steam Workshop. Since you are using a Mac, you have way more options available than an iPad or tablet for modding and customizing. You already have the skill to make a great looking plane now , so, keep practicing. You're way ahead of me in skill when I was at your level and I can only see that improve.

Another thing is, make planes to your satisfaction and not other SP users. Most users fit in two camps; Those who expect realistic features above all, and those only interested in looks. They can drive you nuts.
Have fun with it and Good luck.
