J.E.T. Ground Interceptor
This jet was originally meant to be an upscaled version of the first Slick-X Fighter, but due to scheduling conflicts with the construction of the Sonicore II models, it was ultimately scrapped. However, due to the release of projectile cannons on the market, we wanted a new ground-oriented aircraft, and this design was chosen. Because of its basic and orthodox shape, it was a good starting ground for an experimental weapon. Since the popular J.E.T. Bomber series already covered heavy artillery and bombs, we decided to go with a more reserved approach for this next one; we wanted something that could disrupt and intercept ground activites without much collateral damage. In line with this, we chose to use explosive, rapid-fire cannons as its main armament, rather than guns, as it allowed for a similar rate of fire, while having a greater destructive force. We still have miniguns as a secondary weapon, a holdover from its days as a Slick-X I upscale. Individual rockets were also added as secondary explosive armaments. Torpedoes are also stored in capsules by the end of the wings for light armament in case of a necessity for bombing or marine assault. The plane is also outfitted with highly resistant armor plating, as other aircraft models were prone to going down easily due to gunfire. Last, but not least, it also has amazing agility and maneuverability, edging out the Sonicore models, and almost at the level of the Kronos Mk I, which makes it perfect for intercepting ground forces and emplacements. 1 for parachutes, 2 for lights, 3 for magnet (VTOL for winch), and 4 to detatch the wing capsules. Safe flying!
