The M225A1 TOW Carrier, formally the Anti-Tank Missile Vehicle M225A1, is a variant of the M108A1 Jeep, modified to carry the TOW anti-tank missile, replacing the 106mm Self Propelled Recoilless Rifle M209A1. The M225, alongside the rest of the M108 family, has been replaced by the HMMWV series of light utility vehicles. The type was widely exported, and saw service as late as the Africa War. Such ma achines, fitted with TOW-2 or Kornet-E wire-guided ATGM, were potent anti-armor machines and considered a very high threat to Awwami, CAF, or Prussian armor.
