P0-DR-E Heavy/Close Air Support Fighter (FIXED)
A lone WRAF P0-DR-E of NG-5 squadron launches a rocket strike against Krakabloan tanks on the isle of Pouritanga. The plane would later be shot down that day with the loss of both its crew, the recovered aircraft now resides in the Pouritanga National Military History Museum.
Design History:
Originally conceived as a bomber, the P0-DR stemmed from a series of requirements form the Wright Republic Air Force to make an aircraft capable of ending the Three Years’ War with Krakabloa in the next year. Although retaining the small bomb bay of the bomber version, a complete design redraw reduced size by half and added the heaviest offensive armament of any aircraft that flew in the war. Four .303 caliber machine guns sat in the nose of the plane, another flexibly mounted on the tail, and up to ten pylons pushed the maximum payload to well over 700 pounds. The P0-DR-E here carried a 60mm autocannon, four rocket pods, and a 250lb lb bomb.
Operational History:
Since its delivery in 2399 was mostly too late to see war, the Wright Republic did not see the full ability of the P0-DR until five years after the conflict, in 2405. Yet in its time in combat, it proved a devastating asset that was credited with the destruction of 67% of all Krakabloan ground targets of the war. It also proved fairly well as a fighter, since its heavy armament could shred any opposing aircraft to bits in a single burst, despite its average maneuverability. While earlier models proved vulnerable to spins, this P0-DR-E and any further models had reworked tail fins, which almost completely eradicated the poor tendency.
Controls:
Standard, VTOL for flaps, AG1 for bomb bay. Look input for tail gun.
Fixes:
- Added RPM gauges for both engines.
- Flaps lever now can only move downwards.
- Vertical stabilizers no longer wiggle with yaw input.
- Larger vertical stabilizers to prevent spins.
- Added a reworked cannon.
- Lowered stall speed by ~30mph
- Removed drop tank for aesthetic and aerodynamic purposes.
Have fun out there!

@Kerbango Honestly that happens to lot of my stuff and I don’t know what I did to deserve this fate.
Dude! So lucky to get a craft curated, as well as an upvote from A.G. himself. Congrats!
