Designed to replace the CA-20,CA-21 and the ADF-01, the ADF-04 Chainsaw was the best and most technologically advanced aircraft serving in the Erandian Air force.Stealthy,Sleek and speedy, the ADF-04 is the new multirole fighter of the Erandian Air force.

First conceptualised in the wake of the 2028 Equator war, it was born as a result of government budget cuts following the 2028 Equator war. The budget cuts meant that the Erandian military could not maintain the large amount of fighters they possessed. As the EAF slowly began selling these fighters, there came a need to make a new, easily maintainable 5th generation fighter.

The replacement of the Phoenix class Fleet Carrier with the Hydra class Fleet Carrier meant that the navy needed a new carrier-compatitable aircraft. The Erandian government sent out a bid for a new 5th generation aircraft, and the Palleta-NEMF "Chainsaw" design won.

Newly in service, it is already in action countering the Ludermian Pirate Confederacy, with it's first combat operation taking place in the attack on fortress Xerxes. An excellent aircraft, it destroyed 30 enemy planes during the attack, 9 of which were credited to Cpt Andringa and his plane, the "Clear air turbulence".

-A small gun
-A 20mm Autocannon
-2 Heavy anti-ground missiles
-2 Multirole missiles
-6 light air-to-air missiles
-3 heavy Air-to-air missiles

Designed to operate from small naval platforms, the ADF-04B is a VTOL-capable variant. Capable of landing on small ships, it has a smaller weapons capacity.

Controls:
AG1 for Afterburner (VTOL takeoff for the "B" Variant)
AG2 for folding wings
AG3 to lower arresting cable
AG4 for Ground maneuvering

Designing this plane was quite interesting! I tried an experimental method of combining fuselage design and panelling. The actual semi-functioning cockpit, custom weapons bay, hidden pop-out gun and brake, as well as the vertical takeoff flap(for the VTOL version) were all my first trys.
