New Nation

A US colony has recently been sent out around Severny Island, and has been negotiating its independence for a while. The US had been looking at taking the island north of the formerly USSR to have a good spying base as well as a place to send nuclear missiles from (kind of like Cuba in the opposite way) during the first Cold War. Only decades later does the US send its own people.* Now, the people living in the new US “colony” are fully realising there is no longer a US advantage to the move, yet they like the new environment. As the US enforces unfair laws towards it, it has argued for its independence. The conflict has ended without a war, but the US only accepted to grant the “colonies” independence due to a military threat and some other unknown political threat. The nation of Krolaria has now been formed. It is currently reviewing its plan to become a Republic. At the moment of this post, it has developed a bond with multiple nations, receive military finances and temporary protection from Maelström as it starts out its new adventure.

*This information about “history” is made up by the author (ViridiCinis) and is not actually true, but somewhat realistically created based on the actual circumstances of the conflict.
