Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Around 300 aircraft have been built since production was approved in 1977.
Most advanced fighter for its time, featuring semi-digital avionics and FBW controls. However, due to technological limitations at that time, the cockpit was built soberly, and also, I don't know how to make radar, thus it just copied from other aircraft and applied it to this fighter.
