AV-54A Attack Tilt-rotor

90 AresAerospaceAndDefenseSystems  9.2 years ago

Takes some practice to fly and especially to land but the challenge makes it fun especially once you get good. Just like a real tilt-rotor it can takeoff like a helicopter and fly like a plane, but does not really excel at either. Vertical Takeoff: Throttle around 60%+. Gain some forward airspeed before you start to rotate the nacelles forward and hold full rear deflection on the stick as you do. Short field takeoff: Engine nacelles to 45 degrees with vtol slider one notch up, full rear deflection on the stick, throttle 100%, and be ready on the rudder control. Vtol slider full up to rotate nacelles full forward. Activation group 1 drops small diameter bombs. Do to my forgetfulness while building you're going to want to avoid activation group 6 (turns on hidden vtol engine). Hope you enjoy the aircraft and have fun with it. More tilt-rotors and vtol aircraft to come.
