P51 Mustang

82.8k SimplyPlain  4.8 years ago

A quick-and-dirty P51 Mustang. Two reasons; first, everyone seems to have one -thought I'd make my own version, then. Second, I need something with which to shoot down all the Heinkels I released earlier. Simple controls; AG1 for flaps, AG2 for lights, AG5 for tail wheel lock/unlock... all the rest is straightforward flying. I gave it RAF-livery, since most SP P51's seem to be USAF versions although they're certainly not the only air force to have used them. Feel free, of course, to slap on whatever colors you prefer. Happy hunting!

@TophatAirkraft actually, it was NOT meant to be American... the P51 was originally designed in response to a requirement of the British Purchasing Commission. The US air force only started using it later in the war.

SIMPLEplanes. All the aircraft featured right now are under 500 parts, and appear so. This is the way it is meant to be.

@ND40X I have no idea. SP sometimes does that with wheels; suspension is "disabled", yet all of a sudden the wheels turn all bouncy.

I know that, I was just wondering HOW you did the suspension without wheel suspension as I can't seem to find any shock absorbers
