The F-16 fighter (English: F-16 fighter, code: F-16, code name/nickname: Fighting Falcon, translated as: General Dynamics/Lockheed F-16 "Falcon", also known as: International Fighter) is a type of jet multi-purpose fighter aircraft of the United States Air Force.
The F-16 fighter jet has a single seat, single engine layout and is the third generation or third generation semi fighter jet of the United States. It is one of the most successful fighter jets in the world. This fighter jet greatly optimized its line of sight combat performance based on the Vietnam War air combat experience. It was the first fighter jet in the United States to be able to perform 9G overload maneuvers and was also one of the first fighter jets to adopt electric wire flight control and ergonomic cockpit. In addition, the "energy maneuvering theory" was referred to in the design, which has performance characteristics such as high thrust to weight ratio and low wing load.
