BAC One-Eleven

The trident more or less started with the good old BAC one-eleven, one of the more successful British commercial aircraft. So here is the super one eleven which formed the basis of the trident programme, D.H.121. I've kept the BEA livery purely because it took some time to create and it's got a certain nostalgic Great British twang to it I can't quite put my finger on (maybe it's the great big half union flag on the tail!) The one eleven first flew in 1963 and is still in use today, albeit in limited use as an engine test bed. Mostly retired in the 90s, 244 one-elevens were built in total and will sadly remain one of the most successful British commercial airline ever built.
