A new line of battleship for the Germania Air fleet, now with larger guns, better engines, better navigation equipment, is to launch today to start replacing the older Victoria Class battleships. (Operations) For take off, press 1 and VTOL up one notch to pull slowly on the stick, use VTOL to find a sweet spot to keep her steady then press 1 again to lock the Engine housings. Press 2 to rotate the turrets where ever you desire. And 3-4 fire the main guns, 5 the center top deck gun and 6-7 for the lower guns. (WARNING!!) make sure you rotate the center top gun before firing so that you dont hit the rear super structure. Enjoy this new advance in sky warfare and expect more to come!

@DragonAerotech I guess I could do that.
@TheOwlAce AG8 is always active at startup for some reason, but it can be turned off and on just like the others. That's why I said to link defensive guns to AG8 - but turn it off before takeoff.
@DragonAerotech First, im glad she loved it. Two, o am working on a detailed version but i go not gave stacks because it runs off diesel alone and the smoke is coming out of the engines not the haul.And finally, I dont use AG8 because for some reason its already activated when i start the level.
@TheOwlAce Were she interested in building, she'd be your' follower already. lol She was anticipating something like a sailing ship but I called her in once I'd gotten the Kaisier class in the air and stable. She was dumbfounded though to see a somewhat modern looking warship ... flying! However, as someone who stopped one step shy of enlisting as a Navy nurse and being proud that her father served on the U.S.S. King during Vietnam - she loved it!
As for me I was VERY surprised. I did not expect her to take to the air as easily as she did or for her to be as stable as she was. Speed was another surprise being in the 325~375 mph range.
I intentionally underpowered the Karjala-Class Corvette Patrol & Commerce Raiding Vessel to try to come up with a more or less realistic surface warship speed thus seeing this lady hurtling through the air at these speeds was quite interesting!
I also liked your' touch in design work for details. Those little puffer jets do make nice portholes, don't they? Since the Karjala is VTOL jet powered I couldn't use those for detail work and instead have to rely on nudging and adding an XML altered windows that are slightly smaller than the porthole mounting.
I was also surprised at your' choice of projectiles for the main turrets. Someone posted scaled down bombs situated with the detachers at the backside of them (I have no idea how they did it) however by putting the warhead in place with it's mounting fuselage piece you can just nudge the barrel assembly over the warhead and voila instant explosive cannon shell. Currently the Karjala has a barrel assembly I borrowed from Saruman's Tiger Tank, since it already had a warhead that could be fired, but with the new warheads I think I'll eventually make new barrels, preferably with Boom-25s this time. (Save the Boom-50s for larger guns.)
Overall I liked the design though it felt like it was missing something without one or more stacks! Oh, and another thing, I liked how you included the flag colors on the superstructure. The Karjala did that too but on the stack.
One suggestion for refitting or maybe future builds - I noticed you used wing parts for details. I recommend using structural panels in place of those as the game engine tries to interpret how the wing surface effects performance. Another idea is to switch the engine controls over to trim so you don't have to turn them off to operate the turrets via VTOL. Finally, I noticed that you don't use CG 8 and the Kaisier Class i
@DragonAerotech ahaha alright, hope she likes it.
@TheOwlAce lol Of course its fantasy, neither one of us are professional aeronautical engineers, nor am I a history professor without an imagination. I just get this block from time to time where I try to make things as realistic as possible - especially where war and politics are concerned. Soo many countries in history have invested vast amounts of money on utterly useless military equipment because it looks good on paper that I couldn't help but draw a parallel. However, I was talking to the Mrs about the airships and she scolded me for being a realist and so I apologize. XD She also wants to see me try out your' airships. (She is a bigger fan of Final Fantasy than I've ever been!)
@DragonAerotech These are the crown jewel of my creations :<
@DragonAerotech Its freaking fantasy, I wouldnt be able to get her into the air if she weighed as much as a real battleship so i PRETEND :< can I not do that?
@TheOwlAce lol At 108 ton displacement it is heavily armored? The S 38-Class Schnellboot displaced 112 ton, when fully loaded and those torpedo boats were slightly less than half the length of your' "Kaisier Class Heavy Battleship," and could only employ up to 4 torpedoes and two 20 mm cannons in open mounts. Its armor? A mohogany hull supported by a framework of light alloys - its deckhouse however had 10-12 mm of steel armor! :D (Which, by the way, a .50 cal BMG round can penetrate at 600 meters, or 0.37 miles. What could a Guardian do to it then~?)
Now lets look at real airships, the USS Akron for example. Her deadweight was 121 ton when empty but when loaded with 95% of its capacity of Helium it had a useful load lift rate of 80 additional ton. Her armament? 8 .30 cal machine-guns, no armor to speak of, but could carry up to 5 light fighters. Her rigid frame gave her an overall length of 785 feet. Both airships of this class were destroyed in storms. This is just a wild guess, but I'm of the the belief that putting large scale guns on airships could be a VERY bad thing as a result of recoil forces. XD So, go get 'em tiger! lol I'll stick with my surface warships, thanks!

@DragonAerotech well you see, missiles wouldn't be able to penetrate the haul, its heavily armored. And these are great for bombardment because it has a longer range than a normal battleship and can shoot farther than any ship. I would recommend you give it a try before your ships get blown out of the water.
@TheOwlAce To be perfectly honest, I've never downloaded one of them. As a fan of Final Fantasy, of course, seeing an airship laid out like a warship is pretty neat. In terms of practicality though I can't imagine them being very efficient. Especially when a single Guardian from a slow moving fighter five miles out can take down an entire airship that likely took months and critical war resources/funds as well as the entire crew to a fiery death. The fighter has a chance to outmaneuver any missiles fired in response - not so for a lumbering giant like this. One of the projects I had started before the war ended was the first of a line of surface warships, armed well enough to most likely destroy incoming missiles. While I always called it a Corvette it was actually going to be a commerce raider. Next was to be a frigate or cruiser, then a battleship and finally a carrier. I put the corvette on the back burner since it sorta lost its purpose and don't know if I'll build the others.
@DragonAerotech what do you think on the new line of warships?
@Stellarcrazyargonaut Thats for you to modify
Cool, but weapons should be rocket pods.
@Skua What do you think? I have other designs that are like this.
@SpiritusRaptor What do you think?
