@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook yeah, that was hyperbole. We called them “LEX”, I suppose, for short.

I imagine the T-38 is pretty much the same as the F-5B/F

@ChiChiWerx I guarantee he will. I've revised it but I can't say it looks much better...

Yes, you can use the code on my jet, I don’t think it’s 100% accurate for the F-5, but it’s better than what you have right now.

What the heck is a LERX?

No, don’t put a G limiter on it! Never. You can over G any jet, in fact the T-38 (and probably the F-5) has a G overshoot characteristic...between .8 and .95 Mach, yanking the stick back will absolutely over G the jet to the point of damaging the jet.

@AsteroidAsteroidTheBook those two build inaccuracies are the biggest detractors. I know you don’t want to rework it, but the view from the top looks great, from the side, not so much. Even more so than any flight model inaccuracies. Just saying. Ask Boggie for feedback. I’ll bet you $5 he’ll point those two things out.

@ChiChiWerx I can't really do a ton with the integration since it's built into the fuselage and I'd have to kind of tear it apart to do what you did with the F-20

@ChiChiWerx I'm going to reduce traction, the steering was annoying me anyways. I'll increase the roll rate (Bogdan will be happy lol) and I'll put G limiters or something. I found the integration to be a little hard but the canopy isn't part of the main body so it should be an easy fix. The LERX are blueprint accurate so idk about that. I don't know how to make the bottom the correct width since the underside of the fuselage is wider (and straighter) than the part above the wings. I might take your slats code from the F-20 to fix that

Some thoughts, even before we discuss speeds: It swerves on takeoff, reduce the nose wheel sideways traction. It’s very fun to fly, kinda like the real jet. Rolls too slow, the RL jet is known for its roll rate, up to 720 degrees per second. Turn rate seems good, don’t know because I haven’t yet evaluated the G capability on the laptop. It needs to lose more speed in hard turns. It loses speed in turns above 500 KIAS, but it actually accelerates during level, max G turns at 430 KIAS. The aft canopy to fuselage integration is horrible. Doesn’t look that way IRL. Take a look at my F-20 and recommend you use that method. There are no wing extensions inboard the flaps, at least not that big, when the flaps are lowered, the flat fuse sides are exposed. The LE flaps should move during maneuvering, not just when the gear and flaps are lowered.

@ChiChiWerx would you help me with the flight model before I add the weapons? I don't know if it's supposed to be able to go supersonic at sea level. I know the top speed is Mach 1.36 but that's at altitude.
