BASKGROUNG

-The Su-30MK2 fighter jet equipped by the Chinese Navy is an improved model developed by the Russian Sukhoi Design Bureau based on the Su-30MKK, mainly used for sea and ground attack missions.
Historical background and procurement situation
The Chinese Navy began purchasing Su-30MK2 fighter jets in 2004, with a total of 24 aircraft procured. These fighter jets were delivered to the Navy Air Force for use since 2004, primarily to enhance the Navy's long-range reconnaissance and strike capabilities.
Technical parameters and performance characteristics
The Su-30MK2 has undergone multiple improvements based on the Su-30MKK, including the installation of optical and reconnaissance pods, the addition of LCD displays, etc., to enhance its reconnaissance capabilities against sea targets. Its maximum payload can reach 8 tons, with a combat radius of over 1600 kilometers, and it has excellent long-range strike and mounting capabilities.
Usage and Future Prospects
The Su-30MK2 plays an important role in the Chinese naval aviation, commonly used for maritime tracking, surveillance, and dispersal missions. Due to its outstanding performance and combat capabilities, the Su-30MK2 still has broad prospects for use in the Chinese Navy and may undergo further upgrades and improvements to meet future combat needs.

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Maybe those people want to express that they should celebrate the Spring Festival like New Year's Day.

@GhostTeam2 yeah I guess, because I've never heard of jan. 1st being called the Chinese new year, here that's the lunar new year

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 After all, this is the difference between the two cultures, which will be eliminated quickly if you understand it deeply. I was also confused when I was very young.

@GhostTeam2 I know that, which is why I was confused since it wasn't the lunar calendar new year

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Because this calendar is closely related to China's traditional religious agricultural astrology, it has been preserved to this day.

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 So it's different from the New Year's calculation in the international calendar.

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 Because we have an ancient calendar that lasted from 5K years ago(maybe10K years), we call it Lunar Calendar, which is based on the latitude and longitude of China's geographical environment to calculate the calendar suitable for agricultural production in medieval China.

@MIGFOXHOUND31BSM26 And in China, the New Year is not based on the international calendar, which means it is not fixed on the international calendar. 2025 may be 1/29, but it will not be the date by 2026.
