Say hello to the “Screamer” Powerboat, made famous from its iconic livery, a toothy smile to race across the ocean. Made for parties, dolphin watching, and an all around good time, it’s a thrill to ride on, and I would know! I’ve actually been on the Screamer before, we’ve seen pods of dolphins several times, and it was certainly a fun experience. It inspired me to recreate the Screamer in SimplePlanes, as it’s easily one of coolest things I’ve ridden on irl. For reference, the coolest thing I’ve ridden on was a Cessna 172, which I got to pilot for a few minutes!
This is the actual Screamer Powerboat, along with some screenshots:
I would love to make that Screamer logo in the big letters, but I’d like to keep what’s left of my sanity, thanks. And there ain’t much left of it either lmao.
Anyway mental health aside, here’s the controls:
Throttle: Thrust forwards
Brake: Thrust backwards
Yaw: Turn left and right respectively
Yeah not much else really
Important Notes:
• Don’t turn too hard; it’s not gonna capsize easily, but it doesn’t look pretty.
• Don’t remove the hidden steering apparatus inside the boat, funky things will happen.
• This boat has actual buoyancy physics; I used no gyros to make this stable, it’s buoyancy model is designed to be realistic and at the same time, equally easy to control. Of course, I could’ve just made it gyro controlled for ease of use, but where’s the realism in that? I only use Gyros for massive things that realistically, aren’t gonna be moving all that agile.
• Remember, this is not a Speedboat per se, but rather, a Powerboat, meaning instead of using conventional prop blades to provide thrust, it uses water jets, in order to achieve a high amount of thrust and acceleration.
Yeah idk what else to says other than this is probably my most procrastinated creation ever, I actually started this roughly a year ago, and I then promptly forgot about it completely. It was only a week or two ago that I actually remembered it, and I decided to get working on it from where I had left off all those months ago.
Anyway, without further ado, Have Fun!

@Timothius heheh ye its a good one, I made it in this game but my version sucks, it is very bad at throwing because of how shrinking things makes stuff weaker, my favorite Battlebot is MadCatter but i dont see myself making it anytime soon.

Zoom zoom on the sea
@Timothius what is your favorite battlebot of 2020?
@AWESOMENESS360 its not cancelled, it's just harder to find any fans, also covid just made some people unable to go, and only people who are competing can be there during covid times, you can watch it on discovery and discovery plus
