Wiki History: The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (Russian: ???-21, NATO designation: Fishbed) is a supersonic interceptor fighter with limited ground attack capability designed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau of the Soviet Union among the years 1955 and 1958. It was commonly known by Soviet pilots as Balalaika due to its similarity to the homonymous musical instrument, and by Polish pilots as a pencil due to the shape of its fuselage.

The Mig 21B actually had "bumps" on the wings where the landing gear retracted, that's why yours couldn't go in all the way. Would have looked more aesthetic and realistic to make these.
